The Helen O. Krause Animal Foundation, Inc. (HOKAFI) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, no-kill animal shelter established in 1982 dedicated to rescuing, caring for, and finding loving homes for abandoned, abused, and stray dogs and cats. Located in Dillsburg, HOKAFI provides safe shelter, medical care, and compassionate rehabilitation for up to 10 dogs and 100 cats at any given time while they wait for their forever families. Every adoption creates space for another animal in need, giving more homeless pets a second chance. As a volunteer-driven organization, HOKAFI relies on the generosity of the community through volunteers, donations, memberships, grants, and fundraising events. Whether you're looking to adopt a new best friend, volunteer your time, or make a tax-deductible donation, your support helps provide food, medical care, and hope to animals who deserve a brighter future.
